The disease is characterized by abnormal delusional visions of perceived horrific events creating an aura of public fear; these doomsayers get their rewards by painting a picture of "the sky is falling" and alienating the public. Significant harm is caused by people so afflicted because the objects of their obsession are persons which society already looks down on (including their family members), and the collateral harm caused society is truly a tragedy. Advocate Shouts For the past two years, the Federal Government has been discussing caseloads and funding of Public Defender systems across the country. Little has been done. We, along with NLADA, have written a petition requesting that the indigent defense crisis in the country be addressed. We need 25,000 signatures by 11/4/11. We want to send a message nationally that our Public Defender clients cannot continue to be the outcasts. The website set up by the Obama administration is called We The People-Petitions (Gideon Petition Specifically ) (Direct link). You have to create a log-in account, but we really need you to sign it and, yes, SEND IT OUT ON YOUR SOCIAL NETWORKS. If this petition gets 25,000 signatures by November 03, 2011, the White House will review it and respond! We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues.
